The FX-II Scout features Leupold's DiamondCoat 2 on the exterior lens surfaces for higher light transmission and abrasion resistance, Multicoat 4 to minimize the reflections on the outer eyepiece, and the Xtended Twilight Lens System which uses index matched glass with wavelength specific lens coatings designed to optimize the transmission of low-light wavelengths, including the blue/violet spectrum.
